Setagaya flea market

S and I went to the Setagaya flea market yesterday for the first time since a year ago. This market has taken place since 16th century and the oldest flea market in Tokyo.

To be honest, we don't plan to buy anything particular there but we love its atmosphere and enjoy browsing through the market. Another purpose of visiting this market every year is this Yakitori (grilled chicken) bar.
It's a small bar. So people squeeze themselves in by the counter every time a new customer comes in. Surprisingly, the guy who was standing next to us was the same guy we met at this bar last year.We showed what we bought at the market each ohter (we did that last year as well) and had a lovely chat. Then we both said "hope to see you next year again!" and good by.

In the end, I only bought these pairs of knitted socks which reminded me of the similar ones my grandmother used to make for me.

It was a lovely sunday afternoon.
