土曜日はオニオンピクルス作りなぞを。

先日、Sと一緒に行ったスーパーで、このミニミニタマネギを発見。

ピクルスにしたら可愛くなるんじゃないかということで、赤白２色購入。

ピクルス作りは至って簡単だし、何度も作ったことがあるので問題ナシのはずが、このタマネギに泣かされた・・・。

指先サイズの小ささで、皮が剥きにくいのなんの。

えらい時間をかけて剥き剥きしているうちに、しまいには目にしみて涙がホロリ。

でも出来栄えはなかなかに美味しそう。苦労も報われたかな。

I made pickled onions.

I found these small onions when I went to a local supermarket with S the other day.
I thought they would look pretty, if I pickle them, and S loved the idea so we bought some.
Making pickles is very easy.  I've done it so many times before.  I have no problem with that.

However, these tiny onions made me cry!
They are so tiny, they are extremely difficult to peel, and because of that it took hours and hours to finish. 

Eventually, my eyes started watering.

In the end, they looked nice and tasty. I guess my patience is rewarded.
