Peeping into envelopes

外から中身が透けて見えないように、封筒の内側に施された地紋印刷。

確か7～8年ほど前、ふと目に留まったその柄が綺麗だと感じ、
それから気にして見るようになったら、

ラッピングペーパーや服の生地柄にも出来そうな美しいパターンが色々見つかって、

子供の頃の折り紙集めみたいに、捨てられないコレクションになってしまいました。

もし良かったら、今度請求書が届いた時、(郵便受けに請求書を見つけるのはあまり嬉しく無いとは思うけど)　封筒の内側をちょっと覗いて見て下さい。
綺麗な柄が出てきて、捨てられなくなるかも知れませんよ？

Have you ever taken a moment to look at these printed patterns on the insides of envelopes which prevent the contents from being seen?

They suddenly caught my eyes about 7 or 8 years ago.
I thought these patterns were very pretty.
Then I started to look at them more carefully and collect them.
Now I've got many beautiful patterns in my 'collection'.

They look pretty, don't they?
I think these patterns are pretty enough to be used for wrapping paper or even for clothes.

Next time you receive a bill (I know that finding bills in your post box isn't exciting, but ...) why don't you peep inside the envelope?
You might find a beautiful one and be unable to throw it away.
