Winter BBQ #4

気付けば四半世紀以上の付き合いになる仲間達、と、冬のBBQ再び。
全員飲兵衛という奇跡。
お爺ちゃん、お婆ちゃんになっても、
こうやって皆で楽しく過ごしたい。

いつもありがとう。


Had a winter BBQ again with my old friends for a quarter of a century.
It's a kind of miracle that we are all drinkers.
Hope we will still have fun together when we are old and grey.

My sixteenth trip to Paris

二年ぶりのパリ。
二年前の日記の文章を、そのまま貼り付けてみる。

なぜって？

今も二年前の私の想いに、全くもって同感だから。


It's been two years since I last visited Paris.

I've just copied and pasted what I wrote at that time because I still completely agree with what I thought then.

同じ景色に飽きたかって？


景色はいつもそこにあるだけ。どう見えるかは自分次第。
初めてパリを訪れた20年前から、私はどんどん変化している。
パリの街は、そんな私に毎回ちゃんと新しい表情を見せてくれる。
見ようとすれば、ね。

新しい景色を見つけるには、ほんの少し、自分も新しくならなくちゃいけないんだと思う。
それは東京での日常でも同じ事。

そんな事に気づかせてくれる「旅」が、
やっぱり大好きだ。


My fifteenth business trip to Paris.
I stayed at the same hotel in the same area and went to the same place for work everyday as always. 

Do you think I've got bored with the same scenery? 

Scenery is just there. How you see it is up to you.
I've been changing since my first visit to Paris, which was about twenty years ago and Paris is still showing me varied scenes.
But only If you wish to see them.

I guess you need to change yourself a little bit if you want to find a new view and it's the same for everyday life.

Trips always remind me of those little things and that's why I love travelling.
